From sun salutations, headstands to partner planks it was an inspiring day, – boosting confidence and strengthening in everyone’s personal practices. Gay went from never attempting a headstand to fulling coming into it solo and staying there for the duration.
Gizelle turned it on with her amazing and easy arm balancing crow pose and Bell mastering – well everything : ) Janey and Jon strongly held and assisted partners in downward dog and plank – while Amy strongly held the best wheel I have ever seen : ) I am proud and also honoured to have spent the Yoga Anatomy workshop in sunny Wanaka on Jon and Gay’s deck on this fine Sunday avo.
After a 2 hour session, we were ready for some well deserved treats. Jon had prepared water kefir, avocado dip with probiotics, Dr Libby’s carrot cake, a energy carrot and beetroot salad, and last but not least the goats feta fritters. All amazing for digestion and all nourishing for the body and soul. Gizelle treated us with a yogi cheesecake and award winning kale chips. Then Bell and I concocted a coconut cream and berry delight, bliss balls and a fresh green mint and ginger smoothie.
