A Quick Look at Chakras

A quick look at what Chakras are and how they may effect the mind, body, and spirit.

I was first introduced to Chakras many years ago. It wasn’t something that I was interested in nor didn’t think it pertained to me and my life. Fast forward to about 5 years ago when I attended my first Kundalini Yoga meditation class. This is where I was open and ready for a major deep change in my life. Chakra clearing and balancing was now becoming something I wanted to explore.

Chakras are known as “Wheel of Energy” **

“They are spinning vortices of energy existing in many dimensions” **



Chakras are the energy centers of your body and this energy flows from base to crown. The energy center is directly linked to your mind, body, and spirit. By understanding the 7 different chakras you can learn how they effect areas of your life. The focus is to determine which chakra is imbalanced/blocked and use tools to help unblock/balance it. Why? If a chakra is imbalanced/blocked it may manifest in a physical way.

A chakra may be imbalanced/blocked by becoming underactive or overactive.  Starting with the first one which is located at the base of the spine. The 1st chakra is called the “Root Chakra”. If this chakra is unbalanced/blocked you will experience addictive behavior. Physical manifestations are constipation, lower back/sciatica pain.  If you are balanced in this chakra you will feel safe, secure, and valued in life. There are ways to determine which chakra(s) are imbalanced/blocked. In my upcoming blogs I will go into more detail what each chakra is, and how to identify if it is imbalanced/blocked and how to unblock/balance that chakra.

In my personal experience with balancing chakras I have used a few key methods. One of the ways is through meditation and focusing on a key word or phrase. In the last few months I have incorporated essential oils into my practice which has enhanced my experience.
