Arm Balances, Be Strong!

Tips for Arm Balances

  • Breathe into your center.
  • Warm up.
  • Let go of any preconceptions of how you think it may go : )
  • Use a step by step progression, building upon your strengths whether it be balance, grace or strength. ¬†Follow a great teacher.
  • Make sure your elbows are at right angles and your palms are on the ground strong with fingers spread wide.
  • LOOK forward or down in front of you! ¬†Very important, this balances the head, which is a very heavy pendulum.
  • Move slowly with control.
  • Balance and breathe, holding strongly but with a fluid breath.
  • Come out with grace.
  • Be proud of your self whatever the outcome!
